Now, alot has been said about music in general on this forum. now i want to put it to you that turisas are possibly the silliest people ever. now a story.
Ponder was not feeling to good. Uni was getting to him and along with some other things was feeling rather down. Now ponder likes metal music. He idily put winamp to play his vast music collection on random. a couple of rammstein tracks, yeah cool, a rob zombie. nice. now some metallica. great! but im still down
THEN this song came on. It is by a viking-metal band turisas and is titles "Battle Metal" after hearing it you will be the happiest person alive
it is so amazingly cheery-up-able. listem. enjoy.
Battle Metal The actual images on the video is a scene from Braveheart the movie. but the music is turisas. legendary.
oh and to finish the story...
Ponder is now happier, gets all his work done and hands it on time. he then goes on to live a rich a fruitful life and has many sprogs.*
THE END
-
*wether this is a good thing remains to be seen.

I'm shocked! Ponder and me share something we like in music???
I still remember a heated discussion we once had in online client chat, and the gap, it seemed, could never be closed.
No, all fun aside, if you like that bit of music, you should definitely check out this: North Mississippi All Stars - The Ship, a band I'm lucky to say I will be seeing live in july at my favourite bluesfest. You're into guitars, are you? Then this should be some earcandy for ya! (He's good, but I think the drummer's wicked!)

Sure! Jools is still going strong with his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, and the Late Nights with... of course. But Squeeze was great too.

I'm also a big fan of squeeze... I sang "Up the junction" in karaoke style at my wedding reception!

I recently discovered devildriver
On Late night with Jools I once saw this guy with a 5 string electric violin and a loop (electronic device to record music and play it back in a continuous loop so you can add melody over the top for a demonstration see this clip of KT Turnstall or go to Youtube and search for KT Turnstall black horse and a cherry tree http://youtube.com/watch?v=HYEU91d8ngc) anyway he was awesome and if anyone knows who he is I would be grateful

how's nightwish btw?

Re: The Metal
That useless swedish christine-level singer miss Olzzzzzzon has ruined it all. Holopainen is still a great songwriter, but his choice of the lead singer is really unbeleavable. Her voice is too fragile to sing anything.
And Lettuce, read the earlier posts about Turisas.
